Our Financial Planning Process

Initial Phone Call


To kick things off, we’ll schedule a 15-minute introductory phone call to help us get to know one another. During this time, we’ll make sure that our experience and services are well-suited with your unique financial needs. If we find they’re not, we can introduce you to an advisor who may be a better fit.

First Meeting


Just like a physician, we understand the importance of diagnosing a problem before prescribing a solution. We’ll ask that you bring certain documents or statements along with you to our first meeting, which will help us better analyze your current financial situation and where you’d like to be.

Information Analysis


Based on the information provided and questions answered during our initial meeting, we’ll use the acquired knowledge regarding you and your finances to answer three critical questions:

  1. Are you on track to reach your goals?
  2. How can you minimize taxes?
  3. Can you improve your investments?

Analysis Review


At this meeting, we’ll explain in simple, easy-to-understand language exactly what you need to do to work toward your financial goals. During this time, you should have all the information needed to determine if the value of real investment advice is worth the cost. At the end of this meeting, we’ll ask if you would like to begin working with us, or if you need to take some to think about it.

Sleep On It


We mean it when we say we’re interested in developing client relationships that last long-term. That means we want you to take all the time you need to make your decision. As you think on it, start asking yourself:

  • Do I like & trust the team at Absolute Alpha® Advisors?
  • Will the provided benefits exceed the cost?
  • Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
  • Do their recommendations make sense?
